Wedding Planning, a Destination Wedding’s Timeline – PART 2

And now, less than 3 months before the wedding day, the real countdown starts.
If you have followed my planning a wedding so far, now we get into details!

Let’s see how to work properly in these months and remember; they don’t have to be stressful. The one year planning meaning is: there’s time to do everything and enjoy it!

1 TO 2 MONTHS BEFORE

work on the seating plan: it is not an easy task, I tell you! Make sure you share it with parents if necessary…
final fitting
finalise wedding vows and ceremony music
send all the papers for your ceremony to Italy
are you providing air and make up fro bridesmaids too? Make sure there’s an agenda: they have to be in time!!!!

3 WEEKS BEFORE

send the final list of guests attending to each event and allergies (it may take longer, because you’ll have to do some recalls)
work on the timeline of the day with your planner
check last minute details for the florist: do you have communicated the right number of bouquets, buttonholes, corsages and centrepieces?

2 WEEKS BEFORE

give the seating chart to your WP (for the caterer)
give the places cards to your planner and all the other times you want to be displaced on your big day
confirm all reservations: hotels, transfers
pack for you honeymoon
buy gifts for everyone
mail out your guests for last minute details: the re travelling from far away to attend your wedding, they deserve a special attention!

THE WEEK BEFORE

pack and arrive to Italy
do the visits and paperworks necessary fro your legal wedding
hair and make up trial? yes please…
manicure and pedicure
make sure your dress doesn’t need a steamer, but eventually make sure the hotel has one

THE DAY BEFORE

meeting with the wedding planner to review the full day
rehearsal
welcome dinner: eat and enjoy your family and friends.

YOUR WEDDING DAY:

have fun!
this should be the most wonderful 24hours of your life: it’s time to let it go!!!
