Amir and Sofia, a young Swedish couple, chose White Emotion as Wedding Planner and the fresh elegance of Villa Parisi in Castiglioncello, on the Tuscan coast, to crown their dream of a wedding in Tuscany.
The young, buoyant and good-natured couple, with an eye for details and the harmony of colors – and it couldn’t have been otherwise, Amir is an architect! – fell deeply in love with the region’s coastline and chose Castello Pasquini for their civil ceremony in Italy, reflecting the castle’s medieval ambiance with touches recalling its age. Accordingly, I suggested cast iron tree chandeliers and red and dark elements of décor.
And there came an incredibly moved bride, singing “All of Me” to her groom as she approached the altar – a surprise that touched everyone’s heart.
Outside, a Vespa Calessino was waiting to transfer the couple to the castle – driven by the bride!
This replicated the Persian ceremony wanted by the groom, Iranian of origin. A couple of professional dancers followed them on the notes of “I Belong to You”, starting the celebrations.
The charming mise en place and décor are by Valerio Grassi, with whom, from the very beginning, we thought of a romantic set up, in line with the villa’s white and shabby décor and the turquoise blue of the sea the terrace gave onto.
Roses, Lisianthus flowers, buttercups, hortensias, astilbes, green olive tree leaves contoured by candles and… Minions hidden here and there, for a cheerful and contemporary touch.
For the tableau de mariage we used a charming, white iron, retro bike to which we hung cards with the table numbers.
Luca Tibberio took care of the day’s photographic story, tirelessly keeping a very discrete eye on the whole event and authoring the stunning portraits of the couple at sunset.
A marvellous atmosphere was created for the cutting of the cake, when the groom’s friends, somewhat breaking the tradition, exhibited themselves in an exhilarating knife dance.
