The first contact with the bride was by email and she wrote me “I am getting married in Capri on May 30th, I am Orthodox so the church in Naples is good for me and then I want to have reception in Capri. I know what I want and I want to select everything myself!”.
It was clear to me that Andrea was the bride with a “hands-on” approach.
The wedding planning process was easy and fun: Andrea revealed to have an amazing taste and love for authenticity. exactly as I do!
After a few months, on a perfect sunny day, we all met at Hotel Excelsior to review lat details ad rehearse for the ceremony. The wedding week end in Italy has started!
On the evening before the wedding, we had the rehearsal dinner at the Scialuppa, a typical restaurant in the Borgo Marinano in Naples: it warmed up the atmosphere and was the perfect kick off of a week end of celebrations, with a local menu and twist of centrepieces with lemons and aromatic herbs.
On May 30th, after taking a few pictures at Castel dell’Ovo among all the wishes of the locals, Andrea and Scott got married in the vibrant Orthodox church in Naples.
From here, we changed the scenario in a “dream mode” and we fired up the atmosphere! On a private yacht up to Capri we star the celebration with Prosecco and Caprese salads!
When in Capri, a relaxing evening meal overlooking the Faraglioni rocks was the setting for a celebration that ended the morning hours with dancing at the iconic club Anema e Core.
The design of the event respected the wish of the bride and her mother: natural, white and green, in total harmony with the natural scenario of Capri.
I used peonies, amaryllis, hydrangea, olive leaves and rosemary typical of Capri. It seemed to be in a real Capri garden!
The bride carried a total white bouquet made of peonies, hydrangea and ranunculus.
The touches that I loved?
The welcome bag to welcome all the guests, designed by the bride: simple and welcoming, inspired by the Italian culture.
The day after the wedding was much more relaxing, with a sail trip to a local lido to relax, swim and have fun!
