An old Italian adagio says “ all roads lead to Rome” and this was very true for Sally and Pierre who from Australia and Lebanon made their long way to to get married in Rome in a warm spring day of May.
It wasn’t just a wedding but a week end celebration with closest relatives and friends, an amazing work for a wedding planner!
A pre wedding dinner on Friday night in a restaurant in Trastevere kicked off the wedding week end with a typical roman casual dinner and gave a few indication on the mood of the wedding: relaxed, fun, intimate with not many institutional moments…. and short speeches! to make sure this happened, the bride had a bell who rang every time a speech was longer than 3 minutes!
The concept of the wedding was totally in line with the atmosphere of the city, in a white and yellow palette decorate all with peonies and orchids.
The day began with the getting ready at the fab Rome Cavalieri Waldorf Astoria.
A suite was the background for the first fun moments.
Wedding ceremony held at San Marcello al Corso church, where the wedding party was welcomed by hundreds of tourists outside the church who wanted to applaud the arrival of the bride
Sally and Jon were so smiling and cheerful that watching them walking down the aisle was pure pleasure!
With a maronite ceremony, rich in symbolisms and ancient rites, Sally and Pierre tied the knot and after a celebratory glass of champagne outside the church, the celebration continued at Ristorante Mirabelle, where guests enjoyed a view of Rome second to nowhere else.
Great food, great company, great music (this aspect was key to Sally, given her professional bond with music) were the ingredients of a all night long celebration.
The wedding week end closed with a farewell brunch by the pool of Rome Cavalieri the day after.
What an awesome couple and awesome experience.
