Like all events, weddings are making a comeback after the years marked by the pandemic. To learn about the new trends and some previews for the 2024 trends, we interviewed Alessia Santa, an expert wedding planner whose company White Emotion has made the dreams of many couples, including international ones, come true. Here are her valuable tips for navigating the numerous wedding trends.
Tailor-Made, Fun, and Creative Weddings.
The weddings of 2023 and 2024 will be characterized by incredibly fun parties danced until dawn. Gone are the kilometric buffets and the customary posed photos. Couples are setting aside tradition and making room for original and creative events where decorations, music, and the party take center stage. A boom of customizations to meet the personal tastes of the couples and amaze guests with so much creativity.
Sustainability.
One of the new wedding trends concerns sustainability and the attention that couples have for the environment. Zero-kilometer banquets with local and organic products, nature-inspired setups, sustainable gifts. Even the floral arrangements are changing: we are in the midst of a green revolution, and decorations are increasingly less made with cut flowers. Plants, trees, and every type of flower are included in the context of the ceremony and reception in pots, as dictated by the green philosophy. There’s a focus on aromatic plants, white flowers, and even citrus plants that add color.
